February 2016

An Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday 29th March from 10am until 12noon at St Hybald's Church in Scawby. This is for children age five and under, there will also be Easter Crafts and children can help with the Easter Garden if they wish. This is being organised by Scawby Events Team and the Church will be making some refreshments.

So, under fives, please come along and bring your mummies and daddies to help you solve the clues to find the Easter Eggs

Another event this spring will be a street party on Saturday 14th May to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday. This is to be a children's tea party on the village hall car park, weather permitting, inside the hall if wet. There will be a bar too so everyone is welcome to come along.

We are already making plans for Scawby's 4th Gala Weekend which as always will be the first weekend in June. A dance with a sixties/seventies theme is being organised on the Friday night with music from The Sensational Soul Band; listen to them on youtube

A vintage afternoon tea with entertainment is planned for Saturday afternoon and in the evening everyone will be heading to the Sutton Arms for the Gala Weekend barbeque and music. On Sunday Scawby Playing Field is the place to be, the Fun Run at 10.30am and the Gala opens at 12 noon with something for all ages to enjoy.
