The first few days of November were unseasonably warm, dry and calm but the forecast for Thursday 5th was changing to heavy rain. After keeping an eye on the weather forecast for Scawby a decision was made on Wednesday 4th to postpone the event until Friday 6th. It wasn't a decision made lightly as there was a lot of work involved to let as many people know as possible. We did get it right, however, as Friday proved to be a much better night. Another brilliant Bonfire and Firework Display, thanks to The Sutton Arms and Scawby Events Team and friends working together. Around 1000 people turned up to enjoy a barbeque & outside bar, disco music & boucy castle together with the lovely village atmosphere in the pub car park. We spent an extra £100 on fireworks this year and this gave us a 'Grand Finale' although the whole display was spectacular. Thank you to Scawby for turning out in droves and supporting this traditional event in our own village.
